Get ready: Watch how the rain, snow will push across Northern California this week

Rain in the Sacramento area and snow in the Sierra will start to move across Northern California Monday evening and continue to push eastward through Tuesday morning.

Heaviest rain will fall late Monday evening. The National Weather Service Sacramenot said to expect slick roads and travelers should give themselves extra time to reach their destination.

Sacramento can expect up to 1 inch of rain along with wind speeds between 30 to 35 mph starting Monday around 5 p.m. into Tuesday morning.
