Rain and cooler weather in Sacramento forecast. Here’s what you can expect next week

Temperatures are finally cooling down, fitting for the fall season that’s settling into Sacramento.

Dry weather is expected to persist in Northern California next week, but according to the National Weather Service, precipitation could be coming to the area by next weekend.

For now, you won’t be needing your rain boots or umbrellas. See what the upcoming weather looks like for the capital city:

Rain in Sacramento weather forecast

Temperatures will be sticking in the 70 to 80 degree range.

On Friday, expect a high near 87 with a low around 55. For the weekend, Saturday’s high is forecast at 83 with lows at 56 and Sunday’s high is 77 with lows at 54.

Kicking off the week, Monday could have highs at 77 and lows at 55. Temperatures are then expected to rise to the 80s by Tuesday with highs at 82, lows at 55 and Wednesday with highs at 85 and lows at 56. Thursday could be 84.

An outlook from the weather service says wet weather could return to Northern California between Oct. 20 and 26.
