Sacramento weather forecast: More storms this weekend, early next week looks ‘concerning’
Sacramento is getting a brief break from the rain Friday, but don’t be fooled. This weekend will be another wet one, with meteorologists warning for a stronger storm on Monday to start the week.
“This weekend we will continue to see dry conditions into tomorrow morning, but then we’ll see a chance of showers by the afternoon and then better chance for rain Saturday night into Sunday,” Cory Mueller, a National Weather Service meteorologist said.

The weekend is starting on a dry note. Get those errands done, because showers are anticipated to come in Saturday afternoon. The peak of the weekend storm is expected to hit the Sacramento area Saturday night into Sunday morning, dropping about 1 to 2 inches of rain.
The Northern San Joaquin area will see “half an inch to an inch” of rain, Mueller said.
Wind is also expected to pick up again, with 35 to 45 mph winds in the Sacramento area. They will be “strongest late Saturday night and into Sunday,” Mueller said.
Temperatures throughout the weekend will sustain highs of 58 degrees, with lows on Saturday at 47 degrees, and Sunday at 50 degrees.
A flood watch will also start Saturday night and into Tuesday of next week, according to the weather service.

A winter storm warning will start Friday night into Sunday night.
