See snow meet waves on Northern California beach
Ocean waves met snow falling from the sky Thursday on a beach in Crescent City, north of Sacramento and near the California-Oregon border.
Video shows the unusual weather scene as snow stuck to the beach and the surf rolled in.
Another winter storm has arrived, dusting many parts of Northern California with fresh snow.
Snow started accumulating on the ground Friday in the northern Sacramento Valley, too, including Redding and Red Bluff.
The heaviest snowfall is expected to last through this afternoon.
At 6 a.m., the Sierra Avalanche Center issued a backcountry avalanche warning through Saturday morning for the Central Sierra Nevada Mountains and the greater Lake Tahoe area.
