As they kayak off snowy roofs in Lake Tahoe, here’s how wet, heavy next storm will be

Another round of wild and wet weather will hit Lake Tahoe, California, beginning Thursday and Friday after the previous powerful winter storm dropped several feet of snow just last week.

Illustrating just how much snow has fallen in the mountains, a video shared by Susie Kocher (Twitter user @UCsierraforest) on Monday shows her son sledding off the roof of her South Lake Tahoe home in a kayak.

The National Weather Service said another “atmospheric river” storm will bring heavy amounts of rain, wind, thunderstorms and snow to Northern California.
