Sacramento will see a streak of showers during the week, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
The region received some rain over the weekend, with most areas getting less than an inch of precipitation, the weather service said.
Downtown Sacramento got 0.14 inches of rain on Saturday and Placerville saw 0.75 inches, while Redding residents received 1 to 1.5 inches.
What’s in the weather forecast for Sacramento?
According to the National Weather Service’s forecast, light rain will return to the Sacramento area on Tuesday after 4 p.m.
The weather service is predicting rainfall totals of less than a tenth of an inch.
Rain may continue Tuesday night, mainly before 4 a.m. Wednesday, the agency said. New precipitation will amount to between a quarter and a half an inch.
On Tuesday, Sacramento is expected to see a high temperature near 53 and a low of 49 degrees.
When will it rain again?
On Wednesday, there’s a 20% chance of rain before 10 a.m., the weather service said.
The high on that day will be near 61 degrees, and the low will be around 43 degrees, according to the agency.
There will be some respite from the rain Wednesday night to Thursday, with the forecast showing mostly cloudy skies.
Thursday’s high will be near 58 degrees and the low will be around 46 degrees, the weather service said.
Rain is expected to pick up again Friday in Sacramento and last through Jan. 22.
The high temperatures for that time period will be near 60 degrees, with lows around 52.
