Perfect for your Monday. Fly over Lake Tahoe ski resort to see wintry beauty in new video
The snow awaits.
Besides some clouds and early morning fog, Lake Tahoe ski resorts are stuck in a pattern of no real changes in the weather forecast for the next nine or 10 days.
Those conditions, combined with the decent snowfall in November that ushered in the opening of the area’s ski resorts, mean one thing.
“It’s beautiful weather to enjoy the mountain,” Bryan Allegretto wrote Sunday in his Palisades Tahoe blog.
A drone video taken over the weekend gives you an idea of the current conditions.
Palisades Tahoe, which brought nine more lifts online Sunday, is sitting on 59 inches of total snowfall. In South Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Mountain Resort has seen 37 total inches. Snowmaking continues at many of the area’s mountains.
Snowpack levels across Lake Tahoe stand at 66% of normal, as of Dec. 2, according to the ski report from onthesnow.com
