The winter storm that drenched Northern California on Monday and Tuesday left mudslides in its wake, including one that sent a Forestville home crashing into the Russian River below.

The Russian River reached flood stage in multiple places Wednesday morning in the wake of an atmospheric river storm that brought heavy rain and high winds to the area, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
A flood warning already in effect may last through Thursday morning, the National Weather Service reported.
