What will Sacramento weather be like on Easter? See holiday weekend forecast

Will Sacramento see sunshine or cloudy skies on Easter Sunday?

With a host of outdoor activities planned for the holiday weekend, including egg hunts and sunrise services, you may be wondering what the forecast holds.

Fortunately, the National Weather Service said, the Sacramento region can expect several days of warm, dry weather.

Meteorologists said there’s a “minor heat risk” across parts of the Sacramento Valley, the northern San Joaquin Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills starting Friday and continuing through early next week.

Sacramento had a 50% or better chance of seeing high temperatures above 80 degrees on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, according to the weather service.

What’s in the forecast for Sacramento?

Sacramento was expected to be sunny on Friday with a high temperature near 78 degrees and wind gusts as high as 22 mph, according to the National Weather Service’s latest seven-day forecast.

“Breezy northerly winds are expected Friday, gusting up to 20 to 30 mph,” the weather service said on Thursday in an X post, noting that the strongest winds can be found west of Interstate 5 and over the Sierra Nevada crest.

The weather service predicted clear skies on Friday night, along with a low temperature around 48 degrees and winds up to 10 mph.

According to the weather service, the Sacramento area will see more sunny weather on Saturday, with a high near 80 and an overnight low around 50.

What will the weather be like on Easter?

According to the weather service, Sacramento will enjoy dry, warm weather on Easter Sunday.

The high will reach 82, while the low will drop to 51, the weather agency said.

What’s next for Sacramento area?

Sparkling spring weather will continue into next week, according to the weather service.

Monday will be sunny, with a high near 83 and an overnight low around 52.

Clear skies are expected Tuesday, when the high will near 82 and the low will drop to around 50.

According to the weather service, Sacramento will see more sunshine on Wednesday, with a high near 76 and a low around 49.

Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 74, the weather service said.

Northern California can expect near-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation on April 25 through May 1, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center.
