See light October dusting of snow in Lake Tahoe area as 2025-26 ski season nears
Fall has just begun and Lake Tahoe ski resorts may be 40 or 50 days away from opening, but winter showed encouraging signs on Friday.
Video shows a light dusting of snow on the upper mountain at Palisades Tahoe ski resort.
“It’s a clear reminder that the 2025/26 ski season is right around the corner,” the ski resort’s spokesman, Patrick Lacey, said in an email.
Palisades Tahoe opens the day before Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
