UPDATE: The NWS issues beach hazards statement until Monday morning

On Saturday at 2:06 a.m. the NWS San Diego CA issued an updated beach hazards statement valid from 6 p.m. until Monday 9 a.m. for San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal.

"Northwest swell from 290 degrees with a period of 9 to 10 seconds will generate surf of 4 to 6 ft, with local sets to 7 ft," can be expected according to the NWS. "High tides of 6.5 to 7 feet combined with elevated may result in minor tidal overflow for beach parking lots and boardwalks. Highest surf will be on west/northwest facing beaches."

"Hazardous swimming conditions and minor tidal overflow," comments the NWS. "Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions."

This statement is in effect until Monday at 9 a.m.
