Lake wind advisory issued for Lake Tahoe until early Monday morning, says the NWS

On Sunday at 10:45 p.m. a lake wind advisory was released by the NWS Reno NV in effect until Monday at 5 a.m. for Lake Tahoe.
The NWS informs, "Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and waves up to 3 feet for Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, and Prosser and Boca reservoirs."
"Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve," comments the NWS. "Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind."
This advisory is in effect until Monday at 5 a.m.
