Colorado River Valley placed under a fire weather watch Saturday - high fire danger

The NWS Phoenix AZ issued a fire weather watch at 10:54 p.m. on Thursday valid for Saturday between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Lower Colorado River Valley CA.

Expect winds to be southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and humidity as low as 9% with only modest overnight recovery.

"Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended," adds the NWS.

This watch is in effect until Saturday at 11 p.m.
