Lake wind advisory issued for Kern River Valley for Saturday and Sunday

The NWS Hanford CA released a lake wind advisory at 9:48 a.m. on Friday valid from Saturday 11 a.m. until Sunday 2 a.m. for Kern River Valley.

The NWS informs, "West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected."

"Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft," states the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."

This advisory is in effect until Sunday at 2 a.m.
