West Side Mountains north of 198 under a lake wind advisory until 1 a.m. Thursday

On Wednesday at 1:36 p.m. a lake wind advisory was issued by the NWS Hanford CA valid from 5 p.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for West Side Mountains north of 198.

The NWS informs, "West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph expected."

"Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft," adds the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."

This advisory is in effect until Thursday at 1 a.m.
