Lake wind advisory issued for Kern River Valley until Thursday night

On Wednesday at 2:49 p.m. the NWS Hanford CA released a lake wind advisory in effect until Thursday at 11 p.m. for Kern River Valley.

The NWS informs, "West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph."

"Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft," describes the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."

This advisory is in effect until Thursday at 11 p.m.
