Lake wind advisory affecting West Side Mountains north of 198 until Thursday night

On Wednesday at 2:49 p.m. a lake wind advisory was issued by the NWS Hanford CA in effect until Thursday at 11 p.m. for West Side Mountains north of 198.

The NWS informs, "West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph."

"Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft," adds the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."

This advisory is in effect until Thursday at 11 p.m.
