North wind cranks up for breezy Thursday in Sacramento

Winds have strengthened in the Sacramento region Thursday.

The breezy conditions should last most of the day. North winds are expected to blow from 7 to 17 mph in Sacramento. Gusts could reach 24 mph.

The temperature could reach 79 degrees on Thursday in Sacramento. Temperatures will continue to warm, rising to 82 degrees on Saturday.

Skies are forecast to be partly cloudy for trick-or-treating Saturday night. No rainfall is expected on Halloween.

Temperatures are predicted to cool into the 70s on Sunday when rain is in the forecast once again.
