Letter: Water exporters are killing the Delta smelt
Re “The wet winter brought lots of water to California. But fighting over fish continues” (sacbee.com, Sept. 26): Reservoirs are full south of the Delta. Yet Southern California water contractors want more. More proof that they have no regard for the health of the delta and fish populations. Shameful. Delta smelt are an indicator of the health of the Delta, and they have been in steady decline for years because of over-pumping. Give the Delta a break.
