Letters: Rep. Frederica Wilson exploited Trump’s call to Sgt. La David Johnson’s widow

Re “Evoking slain son, Kelly defends Trump on condolence calls” (sacbee.com, Oct. 19): Democrat congresswoman Frederica Wilson blatantly stated President Donald Trump’s condolence call to the family of Sgt. La David Johnson was “insulting,” and that the White House “is full of white supremacists.” Rep. Wilson has previously publicly stated her hatred of Trump, and her remarks obviously are demagoguery, insulting and racist. Trump referred to Sgt. Johnson as knowing what he was doing could cost him his life, yet did it anyway; a true brave hero. Sgt. Johnson would have understood, and appreciated the acknowledgment and condolence. Wilson’s attempt to exploit Trump’s condolence call to further her hatred of Trump is shameful.
