Letters: Don’t raise fees to enter national parks

Re “Donald Trump wants to double the price of getting into Yosemite. Is that fair?” (sacbee.com, Oct. 27): Donald Trump is a true Republican on taxes. He is proposing to raise the costs of using national parks. National parks historically have been the recreation for the nonwealthy. Republicans complain the corporate tax rate in America is 39.1 percent. That rate could not be more deceptive. Many corporations avoid taxes completely by having headquarters in other countries. Why not raise the corporate taxes to pay for needed maintenance in the parks and double corporate taxes for those corporations caught attempting to avoid paying U.S. taxes. Let corporations pay for the national parks to offset the meager salary they pay their line workers. Let’s make the American worker great again.
