Letters: The GOP’s tax cut, a matter of faith

Re “Highlights of House, Senate GOP bills to overhaul tax code” (sacbee.com, Nov. 16): President Ronald Reagan cut taxes claiming it would boost the economy, claiming the famous trickle down fantasy. Most recently, Kansas cut taxes. They failed horribly increasing deficits, destroying educational and safety net programs. Here we go again. The GOP tax cut plan promises to stimulate the economy and greatly improve financially the middle class substantially reducing income inequality. Smoke and Mirrors. We will see the same thing, increased deficits and the wealthy will take the money and run.
