Letters: End high-speed rail, spend more on freeways
Re “Amtrak train derails onto I-5 in DuPont. 3 killed, dozens injured, freeway shut down” (sacbee.com, Dec. 18) Is this what taxpayers in California have to look forward to? On the first day of the train in Washington, it it derails. The billions of dollars going to pay for high-speed train in California should be diverted to pay for our road repair, not for the train that nobody will ride.
