Letters: The content of Trump's character
Re “Trump: Why allow immigrants from 'shithole countries'?,” (sacbee.com, Jan. 11): The ironic juxtaposition of Donald Trump’s latest racist comments and his proclamation for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday holiday was obviously not lost on at least some legislators and concerned citizens. Gratefully, many of us still share King’s dream that all people be judged not by the color of their skin (or their birthplace, gender or bank balance) but by the content of their character. We should remember this dream not just in January but every time we vote to avoid electing another President with such a crude and malicious character as Trump's comments reflect.
