Letters: Trump fails to embrace freedom of religion

Re “Judge halts newest Trump travel ban, saying it has same woes” (sacbee.com, Oct. 17): President Donald Trump does not give up hope that he can prevent Muslims from entering America, but it contradicts the concept of freedom in religion. There is no benefit in preventing opportunities for people according to their nationality, religion, or what they believe, and it limits the right to freedom. American people are open and do not mind the contributions of visitors, whatever their origin. America is full of immigrants because they can’t have good lives in their home countries. They travel here knowing that it is the place of freedom . Trump does not comprehend the long-term effects of his reckless decisions. He must think about his decisions for the sake of the people.
