Arden Arcade needs help

I work near Arden Arcade. Nearly two years ago, I told a woman I work with she should never walk alone near the location where Deputy Danny Oliver was murdered.

At first, this co-worker thought I was over-reacting; But there have been murders in the area since in broad daylight. You may recall the story of a man stabbed to death in his front yard trying to protect a minor involved in a fight. Or the man run over in the parking lot at McDonald's, then stomped into a coma. He later died.

Although the loss of Oliver has received extensive coverage, the unusually high crime in that area will remain an untold story. Arden Arcade has a crime rate higher than the state average; Google Arden Arcade crime.

The area has an usually high combination of gangs, homelessness, mentally ill people, and violent crime. At the very least be alert and aware of your surroundings when in that area.
