Self-serving outrage by politicians
Re “Congress members plead for United nonstop” (Page B6, Nov. 21) House Rep. Doris Matsui is “outraged” over nonstop service temporarily canceled? When an airline is losing revenue on flights that are not full, it’s in its best interest and the employees’ to reduce flights that are not profitable. It’s unfathomable to me that a handful of our state’s politicians are so “outraged” that they will have to spend an extra hour or two getting to D.C. by having to stop or change planes during the offseason that they are now focused on attacking United. With all the major issues going on, this is how they spend their time? It’s clearly another example of how their priorities have gone so far astray from the real issues.
