Music to harried travelers’ ears

Re “Airport strikes a holiday chord” (Our Region, Dec. 15): Traveling to Portland two or three times a year is always a pleasant experience, beginning with live music in the Portland airport every time I’ve been there. Sometimes there are two or three different musicians; after all, the airport is a big place. This month a man with a xylophone was playing Christmas carols. What a treat.

I’m happy to see Sacramento International Airport embrace live music. There are plenty of talented musicians who rarely get to spread their cheer to so many people. I hope SMF continues the practice after the holidays throughout the year.
