There’s a circus in town at Cal Expo’s Rock & Brews, but it’s not for the faint of heart.

Paranormal Cirque, a twisted and dark circus featuring theater and caberet, is hosting shows throughout March in Sacramento.

While there’s a clown castle, striped tent, acrobats and illusionists, according to the event website, this isn’t your typical circus.

It’s a show that’s “poised between fun and the most uninhibited fear that will transport you to a dark world inhabited by creatures with incredible circus art abilities.”

Kids under 13 years old are not allowed to enter. Those 13 to 17 years old can attend with a parent or guardian.

Tickets

The show runs from March 10 to March 20 at 1600 Exposition Blvd.

Tickets for the event start at $20 online, but will range depending on age and seating level. You’ll also need to be at least 17 years old with a photo ID to purchase them.
