Is Super Bowl LIV every Raiders fan’s worst nightmare? Hall of Famer weighs in
For Raiders fans, this year’s Super Bowl is probably not ideal to watch unless you’re into commercials.
Just ask former Raiders star wide receiver Tim Brown.
“Woke up this morning thinking about the Super Bowl, when all of a sudden a feeling of despair came over me. Why? Well, if you are a true @Raiders fan, seeing SF and KC in the big game is your worst nightmare! Lol! Ok, I feel better now! RAAAAIIIIDDDEEERRS!!!” Brown wrote on Twitter.
The San Francisco 49ers will meet the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday.
In an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area, Brown said he hopes the game ends in a 0-0 tie.
Brown isn’t the only former Raider not liking the Super Bowl matchup.
Napoleon Kaufman, who played for the Raiders from 1995-2000 with Brown, said he was sick to his stomach watching the AFC and NFC championship games.
The Raiders and their fans are very familiar with both teams, of course. The Raiders and Chiefs have been together in the same division since becoming original members of the American Football League in 1960. That’s also when the Raiders started challenging the 49ers for the hearts of Northern California fans.
