A’s: Chavez’s first win a gem
Starter Jesse Chavez has an impressive ERA; his record has yet to reflect it. Chavez (1-2, 1.80 ERA) earned his first win of the season as the A’s beat the Minnesota Twins 2-1. Chavez lasted 71/3 innings, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven.
River Cats: Perez leads way as Sacramento wins third in a row
Juan Perez led a 13-hit attack to help the River Cats defeat the Aces 6-5 in Reno. Perez had three hits, including a three-run double in the first inning, as the River Cats improved to 15-11 with their third consecutive victory. Robert Coello recorded his fourth win of the season.

NBA Playoffs: Warriors fall, Grizzlies even series
Mike Conley returned to the lineup for the Memphis Grizzlies and led them to a 97-90 victory over the Golden State Warriors, evening the Western Conference semifinal series 1-1. The loss was the first for the Warriors at Oracle Arena in three months.
