River Cats: Ninth straight loss sets new low

For the first time their 16-year history, the River Cats go winless in an eight-game homestand and tie a franchise record with their ninth straight loss, 3-2 to the Nashville Sounds.

Warriors: Lots of good personnel decisions

Sometimes success comes by making unpopular decisions. The Warriors traded fan favorite Monta Ellis for center Andrew Bogut. They got rid of coach Mark Jackson despite his strong locker-room backing and hired Steve Kerr. The team’s management has proved prescient in making decisions to better the team even at the risk of upsetting fans and players.
