Video: Giants fall in duel of aces

Two of baseball’s best pitchers went head-to-head Wednesday in Seattle.

 

Both went eight innings. Both allowed just four hits. But only one kept the opponents off the scorereboard.

Seattle’s Felix Hernandez shut down the Giants in the Mariners’ 2-0 victory. He got the win over Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, who struck out nine but allowed two runs.
