After “lighting the beam” for the fourth straight time with their win over the Brooklyn Nets Tuesday the Sacramento Kings are also starting to light up the holiday spirit.
The organization on Wednesday held its “Eat like a King” community event at Golden 1 Center, kicking off their series of holiday functions called the “Season of Doing Good.”
Players, coaches and staffers served a Thanksgiving-style meal inside the grand entrance to 20 nonprofit groups from the greater Sacramento area. Players visited with people from every group and the event included games of Pictionary on stage, along with other opportunities for players to connect with those in attendance.
