Sacramento to host March Madness games. Here’s what we know (and don’t) so far
Basketball fans, dust off your favorite college gear because March Madness is coming to Sacramento.
Selection Sunday is just a few days away, when we find out which teams are competing for the title. Tickets are already on sale for the games expected to take place in Sacramento.
Here are all the details (so far) to prepare for the basketball extravaganza:
Selection Sunday
On Sunday, March 12, the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournament brackets will be revealed along with seedings.
When: You can tune in to watch the men’s selection show at 3 p.m. and the women’s show at 5 p.m.
Where to watch: NCAA March Madness Selection Sunday will be streamed on the NCAA March Madness Live app and on CBS.
The women’s field and NCAA bracket will be revealed on ESPN.
Who plays in Sacramento?:
- 10:40 a.m. – No. 10 Utah St. vs No. 7 Missouri
- 1:30 p.m. – No. 15 Princeton vs No. 2 Arizona
- 4:35 p.m. – No. 10 seed Boise St. vs No. 7 Northwestern
- 7:05 p.m. – No. 15 UNC Asheville vs No. 2 UCLA

Who is the host school?: Sacramento State will be the host school for this year’s first and second rounds of the men’s NCAA Division March Madness games.
Where will games be played?
Games will take place at the Golden 1 Center on March 16 and 18. Within the two days, three sessions will take place, each session including two games.
Below is the breakdown of sessions for first and second rounds.

Where do I get tickets?
March Madness tickets are available through the Ticketmaster website. Ticket prices range depending on the session you attend.
