Maxx Crosby Reveals Which Raiders Opponent Has Most ‘Toxic' Fans
When it comes to NFL fans, Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby says that, based on experience, he believes one fanbase is much more “toxic” than others.
While chatting with live streamer N3ON, the Raiders defensive end explained that he tends to “terrorize” opposing quarterbacks, including the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and the Los Angeles Chargers‘ Justin Herbert. Crosby said the Chargers are the worst, especially after he has a big game against them, or a defensive play they don’t like.
“Like I had a late hit on Herbert this year. He was barking in my ear, and I [expletive] shoved him, and he went flying down. Their fanbase came at me like, ‘You [expletive] junkie, crackhead [expletive].’ Like non-stop,” Crosby shared. “They’re crazy, though, but that’s just part of it.”
He explained that he thinks the Chargers are the most toxic fanbase because they’re not really a Los Angeles team, and “their fans feel like they need to be louder, because they don’t have numbers like [the Raiders].”

“I respect it, though, because if they’re pissing me off, they’re probably doing a good job,” Crosby also admitted about the Chargers’ fans, before saying, “But [expletive] the Chargers and all those teams. I don’t like any of them.”
Crosby had a dramatic end to his 2025-26 season with the Raiders amid speculation the team would trade their star defensive end. In March, the team traded him to the Baltimore Ravens for first-round picks in the 2026 and 2027 NFL Drafts, but backed out after Crosby failed a physical.
Now the five-time Pro Bowl selection heads into his eighth season with the Raiders, and many are excited about the franchise’s future. They drafted quarterback Fernando Mendoza first overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, and many feel he is the franchise QB they need to rediscover success.
Expectations remain low for the Raiders in the upcoming season. As of this writing, DraftKings Sportsbook has the team’s over/under at 6.5 wins, and the under is at -150 odds, suggesting another season outside of the playoffs.
They’ll face a challenging schedule, with opponents including the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and potential playoff contenders like the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Los Angeles Rams.
And there are also the divisional opponents, including the Chargers. They’ll play them twice, with the first meeting in Week 2 on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Chargers’ venue, allowing Crosby to rile up and antagonize the fans, or vice versa.
