Raley Field will host a regular-season American Hockey League game between the Stockton Heat and the Bakersfield Condors on Dec. 18.
The outdoor game, set for 7:30 p.m., will be featured during the “Biggest Show on Snow,” a six-week event at Raley Field from Nov. 20 through Jan. 3, 2016. Other attractions expected include the “Monster Ice Slide” used at the 2015 NHL All-Star Game, holiday skating, theme nights, rides, arts and crafts.
The Heat and Condor are two of the five new California-based AHL teams in the new Pacific Division for the 2015-16 season. The Heat is the top affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the NHL; the Condors are affiliated with the Edmonton Oilers.
“This event will be a special showcase for our Pacific Division in its inaugural season,” AHL president David Andrews said. “We look forward to this celebration of hockey outdoors and to sharing the experience with the terrific hockey fans in Northern California.”
