Hometown Report: Moving tribute for slain player precedes game
Three days following the death of senior cornerback Jaulon “JJ” Clavo, Grant High hosted a Sac-Joaquin Section playoff game against Beyer of Modesto. The Pacers won 35-0 Monday evening, the game serving as something of a return to normalcy for a school and community rocked by Friday’s shooting. Nicole Clavo, the mother of “JJ,” led the Pacers onto the field.

Kings: McLemore plays his way back into starting lineup
Shooting guard Ben McLemore was benched after struggling for four games, but he has regained his groove and was back among the starters in Sunday’s win over the Toronto Raptors. McLemore started every game for the Kings last season.

49ers: Veteran center nearing return and Hyde, Boldin, Brock still day-to-day
Daniel Kilgore, who broke his leg more than a year ago, could play in the 49ers’ game against visiting Arizona on Nov. 29. The 49ers can add the center to their 53-man roster anytime within a three-week span that began Monday. Meanwhile, coach Jim Tomsula said running back Carlos Hyde (foot), cornerback Tramaine Brock (shin) and wide receiver Anquan Boldin (hamstring) are day-to-day.
