The defense played its best game of the season in Sunday’s overtime win at Chicago, and that was despite the partial absence of three starting linebackers.
Scott Jenner has watched the evolution of high school football, and Folsom in particular, because his son Brad plays for the Bulldogs. “We used to think no water made you a tougher kid,” said Scott Jenner, who was the star quarterback for the famed Cordova High Lancers of 1975 who went 11-0 and were ranked No. 1 in the country. “We were lucky to get a cup of warm water with grass in it, and you’d die to have that cup of water.”
