The Kings are playing .750 basketball in 2016, but coach George Karl is wondering what it’s going to take to get his backcourt to play better defense. The latest example is the 27-point lead the Kings squandered before pulling out a 118-115 over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.
Kings: Defense could be the ticket for Seth Curry
Backup guard Seth Curry is becoming a fan favorite because of his shooting. However, coach George Karl likes Curry’s defense, which could be a path to more playing time. The Kings likely will need all the defense they can muster Saturday night against Curry’s brother, Stephen, the league’s reigning MVP of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

Giants: Introducing new center fielder Denard Span
