Sports Night: Kings have passing playoff grade at midseason

Kings: Midseason report shows progress

The NBA season is about halfway through, and if the playoffs began today the Kings would be in. That doesn’t mean they are a good team yet. But they are much improved.

Andy Furillo: How about some restrained optimism?

The Kings have won four games in a row and appear to be rolling. But before any celebration begins, coach George Karl says, “I think we’re improving. But 10 games in January – the test has got to be longer than that, to get crazy about it.”

Hometown Report: It’s off to college for Folsom’s Troy Taylor

Troy Taylor says he is leaving as co-head coach at Folsom High School to become a college co-offensive coordinator at Eastern Washington because, “I wanted a new challenge, needed a new challenge.” After all, he did win five section titles with the Bulldogs. No wonder many people – family, friends, students – are bummed to see Taylor go.
