Caron Butler’s family travels from Racine, Wis., to see him play against the Chicago Bulls, and Kings coach George Karl, perhaps for sentimental reasons, puts the veteran into the rotation. Butler, who has been a spectator for much of the season, scores 10 points in 20 minutes. Both are season highs.

Joe Davidson: Prep hoops ready for state finales at Sleep Train Arena
The girls basketball teams from Elk Grove and St. Francis will represent the area as they play for state championships at Sleep Train Arena. St. Francis will play Brea Olinda in Division I on Thursday, and Elk Grove will meet Cajon of San Bernardino in Division II on Saturday.
