Kings: Saturday’s Sleep Train finale was last game for some
DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo, Darren Collison, Omri Casspi and Marco Belinelli did not make the two-game trip to end the season. Of the Kings’ top six scorers, only Rudy Gay is with the team. He had 15 points in Sacramento’s 105-101 win over Phoenix on Monday.

Hometown report: Former NFL receiver will assist in concussion study
Austin Collie, a former Oak Ridge High School star and NFL wide receiver, will work with athletes at Cognitive FX, a concussion rehabilitation and research clinic in Provo, Utah. He has gone from Cognitive FX patient to facility therapist of sorts, embracing his new calling as something he may “do for life.”

The Optimist All-Star boys and girls basketball games are scheduled for Saturday at Sacramento High School. On Monday, players from all four teams served more than 120 homeless people and helped in other ways at Bayside Church in midtown.

Mike Trout hit a two-run homer –his first of the season – off A’s starter Sonny Gray in the sixth inning to lead the Angels to a 4-1 win at the Coliseum.
