Tour of California: Defending champion Sagan loves to win, have fun
Cycling champion Peter Sagan isn’t known for being subtle, on or off his bike. Next Sunday, Sagan will begin the defense of his Tour of California title, which capped the closest race in the event’s history. The Tour of California’s 11th and longest edition will start in San Diego and advance for eight days and about 800 miles to its May 22 finish in Sacramento.

A’s outfielder Josh Reddick went 3 for 3 with a walk in an 11-3 loss to the host Baltimore Orioles. Including Saturday, his run of eight consecutive hits, which is still alive, matches the franchise mark.
