The NBA’s free-agency period opened Thursday night. Some players stayed home, others went to new teams, everyone got paid.

Some of the biggest signings include point guard Mike Conley (five years, $153 million to stay with Memphis), Nicolas Batum (five years, $120 million to stay with Charlotte) and Dwight Howard (three years, $70.5 million to leave Houston for Atlanta).
