Cameron Smith, a Granite Bay High School graduate, came up big for USC on Saturday night in a 42-24 upset of No. 3 Utah in Los Angeles.
Smith had three interceptions, including one he returned 55 yards for a touchdown, to help the Trojans (4-3, 2-2 Pac-12) hand the Utes (6-1, 3-1) their first loss of the season.
Utah senior running back Devontae Booker, a Grant High grad, ran for just 62 yards, his lowest output of the season. He also had six catches for 49 yards but failed to reach the end zone for only the second time this season.
