Video: Stanford holds off Washington State

Stanford needed a little luck to remain undefeated in Pac-12 Conference play.

Cardinal kicker Conrad Ukropina hit a 19-yard field goal just after the two-minute warning, then Washington State’s Erik Powell missed from 43 yards as time expired as No. 8 Stanford held on for a 30-28 victory in Pullman, Wash.

Senior quarterback Kevin Hogan only threw for 86 yards but had 112 rushing yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns for Stanford (7-1, 6-0 Pac-12).

Before the miss, Powell made his previous five attempts, including a long of 47 yards, for the Cougars (3-2, 5-3).
