UC Davis men’s basketball lands pair of prep forwards

Peter Hewitt, a 6-foot-10 power forward, from St. Francis High School in Mountain View, and 6-8 forward Mike Henn from Bellevue (Wash.,) High School signed NCAA National Letters of Intent to play for UC Davis.

Hewitt is ranked No. 40 nationally among senior high school power forwards by ESPN. He is a four-year varsity player for the Lancers, a perennial Bay Area power. The three-year team captain ended his junior year by receiving all-West Catholic Athletic League accolades and an invitation to compete in the Prep2Prep California All-Star Classic last August.

Henn helped Bellevue post 24-5 overall records as a sophomore and junior and back-to-back KingCo Conference championships. He averaged 12.2 points last season.
