Video: Sacramento State upsets Arizona State in men’s basketball

The Sacramento State men’s basketball team defeated a Pacific-12 university Friday, the program’s third win over the conference in six seasons.

Senior guard Cody Demps, a Pleasant Grove High graduate, scored 22 points, including eight in the last two minutes, to help the Hornets open their season with a 66-63 upset of Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.

The win spoiled Bobby Hurley’s debut as coach of the Sun Devils. The former Kings first-round pick coached at Buffalo the previous two seasons.
