Sacramento State linebacker Darnell Sankey has garnered another postseason honor.

The 6-foot-2, 250-pound senior was named Wednesday to The Associated Press All-Football Championship Subdivision second team. Senior Christian Kuntz (Duquesne) and Myke Tavarres (Incarnate Word) joined Sankey as second-team linebackers. Seniors Deon King (Norfolk State), Stephen Hodge (Fordham) and Don Cherry (Villanova) were the first-team linebackers.

On Tuesday, the San Jose native became the first defensive player in school history to be named to the STATS FCS All-America team. Earlier in the month, he also landed College Sports Madness All-America first team honors.

Sankey ranked second in the FCS and first in the Big Sky Conference with 153 total tackles during the 2015 season. He had a school-record 27 tackles against Weber State.
